DIC India is a part of DIC Corporation of Japan, the World\’s largest manufacturer in printing Inks and allied materials. With the vast past glory and responsibility on their shoulders Dic India revolutionized the Printing Ink industry in India. Expanding its business time and over and spreading its presence all over India, the then Coates of India became a public limited company under the Indian Companies Act. In 1977 Dic India made its first public issue of equity share worth Rs. 3.2 million. The public issue was oversubscribed six times. Eventually they set up a sales office in various parts of the country. The company has continuously surpassed its own milestones year after year and today has become the supplier-of-choice of national and international printers and conversion agents through continuous enhancement of quality and offering best services and products. Lately DIC India sold its entire stake in Coates Coating India Private Limited to Valspar, a North American manufacturer of paints and coatings, and is operating under the name Dic India limited since 2004.
